Founded in 2009, AppsAnywhere provides universities and colleges around the world with a highly focussed, market leading software delivery platform, enabling students to access their educational resources and applications anywhere, at any time and on any device.
AppsAnywhere has built a strong reputation in the higher education markets and an impressive global presence, supporting over 250 educational institutions across 22 countries. A significant proportion of its customers are already based in North America.
Cordance, based in Raleigh, North Carolina is a software company that partners with founder-led, mission-focused tech companies to accelerate growth and scale innovation in education.
The partnership will strengthen Cordance’s Edtech portfolio and marks its first investment in the European market. With the support of Cordance, AppsAnywhere will continue to solidify its position in the global market and accelerate growth in North America.
Nick Johnson, Founder and CEO at AppsAnywhere, added: “Joining Cordance marks a powerful next step for AppsAnywhere. We’ve always believed that software delivery in higher education requires purpose-built tools, not one-size-fits-all solutions.
“With Cordance’s partnership and the opportunity to collaborate closely with other companies in their education portfolio, we’re excited to expand our impact, drive further innovations, and continue removing the technical barriers to student success.”
Caroline Morris, Chief Executive Officer at Cordance, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome AppsAnywhere to the Cordance organization,” said Caroline Morris, Chief Executive Officer at Cordance. “This acquisition strengthens our commitment to higher education and expands the ways we can support IT leaders as they modernize their institutions.”
