Translink Corporate Finance acted as the exclusive advisor to the shareholders of Belgium-based Alphamédis on the sale to family-owned company, Eakin Healthcare.
This strategic move underscores the firm’s ambitious international growth strategy within the stoma and continence care sector. Headquartered in Northern Ireland, Eakin Healthcare aims to cater to the needs of the global community in this field. Translink United Kingdom were instrumental in identifying the business as an ideal buyer.
This acquisition follows the success of Respond, Eakin Healthcare’s renowned UK-based prescription and dispensing home delivery and support service.
Stuart Welland, Chief Commercial Officer at Eakin Healthcare, emphasised the company’s commitment to providing excellent patient care, stating, “Ensuring our patients’ needs are met is at the heart of everything we do.

The acquisition takes immediate effect with no change to company names or brands. All employees of Alphamédis will automatically transfer to Eakin Healthcare.
